Annual General Meeting Sunday 8 March 09 After Zuhar Salat

As announced after Magrhib Salat on 15 February and then after Jum'a Salat on 20 Februaray the AGM of SMA will be held on Sunday 8 March 2009 after Zuhar Salat in the SMA Masjid.  All brothers and sisters are requested to attend.  The Agenda is as follows:

   1. President/ Secretary's address giving the highlights of the year
   2. Treasurer/ Assistant Treasuer's address giving the details of SMA Accounts for the financial year 1 Jan 2008 to 31 Dec 2008
   3. Acceptance of Executive Committee nomination of Br Zul for the vacant position of Vice President and Br Zahid for the position of Assistant Secretary
   4. Election of two new members of the Executive Committee - only paid SMA members are entitled to vote
   5. Any other issue raised by any member during the meeting

Please click here to download the nomination form for election of the two new members of the Executive Committee.   A paid SMA member can nominate any paid SMA member to be on the Executive Committe.  It should be seconded by another paid SMA member.  The person being nominated should accept the nomination.  One form is to be filled for each nomination.  The forms should be subumitted to Br Wahid on or before 6 March 2009.  The forms are also available in the Masjid and on Yahoo Group /SMA website.

Just a reminder to those who have not yet renewed the 2009 membership to do so urgently.  The forms are available in the Masjid or click here to download.  Once a year fee of $20 for single and $40 for family membership is something I am sure every one can afford. If you cannot then let me know privately and I will ask somen one  to pay on your behalf.  But please do not delay the renewal of membership any more.
